The Barefoot Wisdom Yoga Project is designed to make yoga accessible to all Canadians.
My goal is to empower individuals and communities to improve health and social wellness through the benefits of a yoga practice.
Yoga is a non-judgemental , non-competitive, physical practice that assists in bringing about positive physical and mental change with health benefits that are well documented it gives access to one’s true self: Your Barefoot Wisdom. Love, Jess
The Barefoot Wisdom Yoga Project:
In 2010 Pepsi and Aviva Insurance were both giving away over a million dollars in grants to fund ideas that will positively impact communities across Canada. I have applied to each program to fund, The Barefoot Wisdom Yoga Project. These grants are awarded based upon the voting public so I needed to spread the word and get people voting for my idea.
I submitted the video to the right as part of my application.
Although I did not receive any funding I am still committed to the cause of delivering yoga to those who need it the most.
Thank you for your support.
Peace,
Jess

Jesse’s teachings are based in experiential learning and he invites his students to draw from their own experiences to make their practice their very own. Jesse started practicing Yoga in 2005 after looking to balance the effects of playing hockey and rugby.
Jesse draws from the inspirational teachings of Don and Amba Stapleton from the Nosara Yoga Institute , from Sarah Tacy from Ganesha Performance and studies alignment in Oakville at Sunseed Yoga with Jim Pope . As a teacher and a lifelong student he is grateful for the experiences he has shared with all his teachers and students. Jesse is an ambassador for The Power of Movement, the founder of The Barefoot Wisdom Project and The Yoga Teacher at the Nike Runner’s Lounge in Toronto.
